What exactly is low maintenance hair??

Do you remember not too long ago, when you were in the salon every 6 weeks to freshen up your highlights? They would look absolutely amazing when you left the salon, but in only a short amount of time, the dreaded line where it was starting to grow out was already showing! What if I told you there were ways to avoid the maintenance? What if I could save you time and money?

I believe that hair color should look as natural as possible. natural as possible with my own artistic touch on it in order to create dimension, brightness, depth, and all the things we love in our hair color.

When color looks natural, it has much less of a chance of a harsh grow out or unnatural fading, so no one will ever be able to tell you haven’t been to the salon in awhile. Less maintenance saves you time and money while still getting quality.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the term, “Balayage” Maybe even terms like, lived in hair, hand painting, hair painting, freehand painting (okay now i’m just giving you all the terms here) The point is, all those terms are used to describe techniques that are used to create hair that is low maintenance. Just like foils are used to create certain highlighted looks, it’s the same sort of idea. These freehand techniques create seamless blends, lightness in all the right places, and looks that are natural.

So, if it isn’t 6 weeks, what is the upkeep on these looks?? I am so glad you asked.

I suggest, that clients who are receiving these lived in looks, maintain them every 12 weeks or 3 months or once a season! more than likely, You’ll be wanting a little more brightness around the face, around the hairline, more dimension, or just a change up for whatever season you’re in.

Some of my clients also come in for a toner, which is an elected service that helps tone down the blonde if it’s gotten too light or it’s used to help eliminate the brassy tone the blonde can get over time. a toner also adds some shine and moisture to thirsty hair, which is also always appreciated.

I hope this helps to better understand what low maintenance hair really means. Your time is valuable, this saves you mandatory trips to the salon. Your investment in your hair is valuable, and I want it to last as long as possible. Low maintenance hair means longevity, which means your investment goes further. I am so passionate about creating these looks, I’ve studied so much about them and I really believe beautiful hair does not need to be high maintenance.
