ABOUT

What I love most about my job is the relationships I have with the people I have the pleasure to serve. To me, it's more than just hair. It's about the way you feel, the experience you receive and the relationships we build together.

Hi! I’m Lauren, a hair colorist located in Winchester, Virginia. I have spent nearly 10 years behind the chair. My true passion is color, but my specialty is blonding. I take my craft seriously, dedicating time and skills to make sure you get the hair you've always dreamed of. I believe your time is valuable and strive to make sure you have the best experience, mind, body and soul. I regularly attend education seminars, gaining the knowledge on the latest trends and techniques in the industry. I believe that hair should be healthy, scalp to ends, and that there’s no reason you shouldn’t have beautiful, natural and expensive looking hair. Like come on we all deserve to look radiant!!!

My free spirit cultivates creativity and my honesty is guaranteed. I started my career in 2012, finishing cosmetology school in 2014. Throughout my time in the industry, I’ve been featured in publications such as modern salon and behind the chair. I am a former educator for Davines.

After building my clientele and skill set, I decided to become my own lil business and work for myself. I’ve been an independent colorist since I was 23… so 6 years now!

I’ve learned a lot doing hair for so many years. I believe getting your hair done should be fun. It should be this experience that makes you feel better, externally and internally. A little boost in your day.

Things about me that aren’t hair related?

I’m an Aquarius, enneagram 7, and I love bluegrass music, music festivals, and Billy Strings. I love to travel. I love my cats, and my now step doggies :) I’m a menstrual cycle coach, yoga teacher, and podcast host. I am a little woo woo…. not gonna lie :)

I’m really fun. I believe in living vibrantly, in wellness, in exploring all the parts of ourselves. I’m passionate, silly, loyal, open, deep, inviting, original, and intuitive.

“By creating “beauty” we want to encourage people to take care of themselves, of the environment in which they live and work, and of the things they love.” –Davines Manifesto

I work and own Daydream Studios, a salon space in Winchester Virginia with my friend and now business partner (hehe) Hannah.

Daydream’s address is 661 Millwood Aveunue Suite 208 Winchester Virginia 22602.
